...For Community Groups

People in local communities often need to know what's going on and where.  They need to know where various local community groups work and what they have to offer or how they can help.

It might be something simple like trying to find out

  • Where the nearest Scout Group is and when do they meet
  • Is there a New Mums' Group nearby
  • Is there a New Mums' Support Group and can I post a question on-line
  • Is there a book club within a few streets of where I live

A great source of local information.  But rather than a bunch of static web pages it's interactive, it's social and it's collaborative.

So as well as searching for groups, you can

  • Post questions
  • Read what's being discussed in the group
  • See what events are coming up
  • Read about the events that have happened
  • Read blogs on topics of interest in the group
  • Search and read the forums to see if your question has already been answered
  • Work together on organising an event
  • Agree times of the next meeting, event etc.

And because all the content is managed by the community there's no waiting for an IT department to put up the content, it's there when you need it without any delay.
